Adorned DIY Baseball Caps - Game Over!

I love baseball caps!  I really do.  Am a bit picky though, so of course I have my favs. My personal go-to caps are army green, anything military-ish, khaki or camouflage. Luv, luv! But I am also a fan of the black leather cap or a dark brown leather cap.  Why? They are staples when styled with the right outfit.  Adding some sparkle to these caps just takes it over the top for me.

It's casual relaxed swag meets glam.  And this is their adorable baby.

Recently I have been particularly intrigued with appliques on caps.  I don't know how long this phase will last but I literally want to put them on everything especially caps!  Imagine my surprise when I realized I was not the only one! In fact my ladies was on this for a bit!

What can I say, brilliant fashionistas think alike.  This is nothing new though, after all an applique is a short departure from the embroidered hats we see all the time.  The difference is in the fact that an applique put you in the drivers seat creatively, plus it is the same idea but it is fresh and modernized for 2017. You can add a single piece or many appliques.

You can add some bling or you can add lots of bling!  See what I mean? You decide.  As Julia Roberts said in "Pretty Woman",  "You say when and how much."

I am really feelin this look.  What do you think?

Moving Forward - Guest Post by Shanda Neighbors

I am amazed by the power of yesterday.
Yesterday gave birth to our regrets.
Yesterday is where we learned to fear.
Yesterday we wasted time on the inconsequential.
Yesterday we missed opportunities.

We denied our abilities, limited our potential and walked away from destiny.
All of this took place during our many, many yesterdays.

I am inspired by the blessing today.
Today offers us an array of possibilities.
We can right a wrong,
chase a dream,
change our future,
and challenge our thinking.

We can begin a new chapter in our story.
Today moves us forward on a time scale,
and presents us the choice to move forward in life.
We can be more, and do more.
We can live for something greater.
Today we can relish the moment and invest in the eternal.
Yesterday cannot be changed.
Move on.
Tomorrow is not promised.
Move back.
Today is all we have.
Move now!
Resist stagnancy.

Keep moving forward.

“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
